True Bike Heads

I took two bikes in to have new and existing parts installed/exchanged by a fantastic mechanic and great guy named Joe Lawler. He took wonderful care to make sure all work was done meticulously and his communication was fantastic throughout. During several visits, I found the entire staff to be extremely knowledgeable and quite simply, really nice people who are all serious riders! This level of service is rare in NYC and I highly recommend this shop to riders of any level.

These guys are great. They carry a great selection of bikes, and they know what they're talking about. I bought a Cannondale road bike from them. My friends told me to see them after I went around town to other shops. I was upgrading a 10 year old heavy bike. They asked me lots of questions about the kind of riding I wanted to do. Then they gave me a few choices to test ride. The Cannondale was the nicest bike I tested. So I bought it. Then they did a fitting session for me. I'm really happy with this shop's professionalism. Highly recommend.

Five Stars for Sid's Chelsea

I was looking for a new bike and was not sure what kind of bike I wanted. The options now are absolutely nuts if you dont know what you want. I went to a couple of places and I was amazed how crappy the service and the bike stores were. These stores seemed in a perpetual state of chaos and there was no customer service. I then lucked out and went to Sid's bike in Chelsea. The lady there Delissa Santos was amazing to work with. She was very patient and took me through the offerings and let me test out a bunch of bikes. She even showed me the website of Orbea where I could go and order last years models that are on sale. I ended up buying a Orbea Onix bike that I absolutely love now. Delissa helped me put it all together with pedals etc. I recently went to the shop to buy biking cleats and Larry helped me and he was great as well. I am usually not one to write reviews but I am so happy with these guys and the are so much better that any other shop in NYC I want others to experience this and not waste their time with other shops.

Bike Nerd

Sid’s Staff,
Today my girlfriend bought a Cannondale mountain bike at your34th street store. We received terrific service and were extremely satisfied with the help we received. I would like to recognize sales girl (can’t remember her name) or clerk #56 (from the receipt) for going above and beyond. From what I remember the Sales girl had ‘Bike Nerd’ (printed on her tee-shirt). Sales girl was very personable and extremely knowledgeable at her job.
Please give a extend a thank you to Bike Nerd for making a bike purchase a quick and enjoyable experience.

Waterford Custom Bicycle

I recently purchased a Waterford Custom Bicycle from your facility on the West Side. I wanted to commend you on the OUTSTANDING customer service and attention to detail I received from Chris Skolnick. I have recently discovered the wonders of cycling and have become enamored of the sport. I had purchased a stock Scott bicycle as an introduction to the discipline, but quickly found that a custom bike might be a great investment. I went to a few shops in the city but was often unimpressed and in some cases, quite disappointed with the apathy and poor service.

My experience at Sids was the exact opposite. Chris spent 2 hours with me to explain the fitting process and understand my personal development goals as a cyclist. I picked up the bike on Halloween and it is outstanding. Importantly, I have called chrsi a few times with questions and he has spent the time to explain certain adjustments etc. The other staff at the store ( Steve etc) and others were extremely helpful.

I commend you on the quality of your products and importantly, the quality of your people.
