Jose Medina: Fastest Mechanic in New York City

Last night at Rapha Cycle Club a fact which we have all at one time or another suspected was confirmed: Sid's own Jose Medina is the fastest bicycle mechanic in New York City.

Rapha Cycle Club was packed to the seams as four mechanics, Mark from iFixByx, Jon from Signature Bikes, David from NYC Velo and, of course, Sid's Jose Medina assembled bikes provided by Independent Fabrications from scratch.

As the mechanics went to work, Jose's face took on a look of extreme concentration which was, quite honestly, a tad frightening. Bystanders were bade to stand clear of his peripheries lest he mistake an errant limb as a hanger tool and attempt to hastily fasten it to the nether region of the half-assembled bike. Such was his concentration that moments later he did not seem to even notice Rapha officials handing him a $100 bill for being the first contestant to wrap his handlebars. Amid onlookers stunned by beer and blindingly fast wrenching, Jose flung scraps of tape, seated tires and installed headsets. Amazingly, only thirty-six minutes after he started Jose had completed the build, a full fifteen minutes before his closest competitor, earning him a Pedro's Master Tool Kit and the coveted Fastest Mechanic in New York Wrench. Congratulations Jose!
